We are looking for a well-organized Junior Data analyst to join our client’s software development team.
Our ideal candidate – someone who is interested in data analysis and is also willing and able to do QA work, has advanced English, a proactive attitude and a great deal of enthusiasm.
Our client is the leading provider of daily pricing and reference data for hundreds of growth-stage and pre-IPO shares. They are dedicated to providing institutional investors with crucial insights, enabling them to make informed, timely decisions.
You will develop the platform captures secondary market activity from top-rated brokers, unlocking daily pricing & liquidity color to improve trade execution, manage risk, refine valuation inputs, and offer auditable compliance data.
AS A Data Analyst, YOU’LL HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough testing of software applications.
- Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts.
- Identify and report software defects.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
- Develop data models and statistical algorithms.
- Generate reports and visualizations.
- Identify insights and trends from data.
- Ensure data quality and governance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Present findings and recommendations.
- Facilitate communication between teams.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Professional experience with SQL and understanding of data analysis at a high level
- Professional experience in QA/DA at least 1 year (or a very motivated and self-organized person)
- Working knowledge of and experience with SQL queries, RDBMS, e.g., MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Willingness to combine QA and Data Analyst responsibilities
- Highly focused and diligent attitude to daily tasks, interest in and ability to discover peculiarities in data,
- Advanced (C1+) level of verbal communication in English
- Good team player and fast learner.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Computer Science, Data Science or similar education
- Basic knowledge of Python and data management libraries, e.g., Pandas
- Experience with data analysis, ETL, and similar programs
- Experience with data analytics, e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Google Looker, or others
- Experience with no-SQL databases and other data sources
- Completed professional courses in QA, SQL (or Data Analysis)
