JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for an AI Engineer with proven experience in developing and deploying AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants. The role focuses on building an MVP chatbot that can automate customer support, integrate with external systems, and scale with business needs.
AS AN AI/ML Engineer, YOU’LL HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, build, and deploy chatbot solutions (MVP → scalable growth).
- Configure and fine-tune conversational AI models (OpenAI GPT-4o, Rasa, Botpress).
- Implement FAQ training and intent/entity recognition.
- Integrate chatbot with customer platforms (e.g., Shopify, Zendesk, Salesforce).
- Develop contextual memory and escalation workflows to live agents.
- Optimize chatbot performance for response speed (<5s) and deflection rate.
- Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards (GDPR, HIPAA if needed).
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and QA to deliver complete solutions
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years in AI/ML engineering, with focus on NLP or conversational AI.
- Hands-on experience with chatbot frameworks (Rasa, Botpress, Dialogflow, LangChain).
- Sufficient Python and/or Node.js skills.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic).
- Experience integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks).
- Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) for RAG pipelines.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes for deployment.
- Strong debugging and optimization skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency with strong verbal communication skills.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience with healthcare (HIPAA) or fintech (SOC 2) compliance.
- Prior work with omnichannel integrations (Messenger, WhatsApp, Twilio SMS).
- Knowledge of analytics tools for monitoring chatbot performance.
