WHO WE NEED
We’re looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong focus on quality to join our team. You’ll be a key player in developing an innovative, next-generation platform for our new American client. This platform instantly generates detailed construction estimates based on preliminary concept information, allowing users to configure design intentions, test different approaches, and accurately pinpoint financial forecasts in minutes.

This project is a cutting-edge platform that leverages powerful expert systems to simplify and accelerate the construction project estimation process. It empowers users to efficiently manage design intentions, quickly test various scenarios, and receive precise financial projections.
Your Role:
We’re seeking someone who can bridge the gap between development and quality assurance, effectively combining these areas. Your core mission is not just to develop, but to instill a “quality-first” approach throughout the entire team. You’ll be a leader, demonstrating through your own work how to integrate quality into every development stage, rather than simply writing tests.
You’ll need to be flexible and “stay liquid,” filling gaps and learning new domains. It’s crucial to be able to research and analyze information, propose various solutions, and discover innovative approaches, such as adapting Data Science methods for web browsers.
As an Engineer, you will:
- Inspiring and Mentoring the Team: Actively implementing and promoting a “quality-first” approach to development within the team, demonstrating best practices for integrating quality throughout the product lifecycle.
- Filling the Gaps: Tackling diverse tasks aimed at product improvement, including component development, CI/CD setup, adding new functionality, and enhancing UX.
- Flexibility and Versatility: Executing tasks that require expertise in testing (primarily unit testing), design, or frontend development.
- Standardization and TDD: Emphasizing test standardization and actively applying a Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach.
- Research and Proposing Solutions: Independently finding necessary information, analyzing various options, and proposing optimal solutions for the team.
- Adhering to Quality Standards: Following established rules for test writing and development, as well as commitment policies (currently Vitest for testing, with Playwright for UI testing in the future).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience as a developer or as an AQA or as a SDET with a strong focus on quality control and testing methodologies.
- Strong “dev chops” – the ability to not only write code but also demonstrate effective development methodologies.
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue.js (at least at a basic level) to navigate the project.
- Understanding of TDD principles and experience applying them.
- Deep understanding of unit testing.
- Ability to research information, analyze, and propose solutions.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with the team and client.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Nx for monorepo organization.
