Node.js Developer (with Firebase)

WHO WE NEED

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Node.js Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality web applications using Node.js, Typescript, Google Firebase.

Our client is a US-based startup that is building a platform to empower small and medium-sized businesses to easily create and manage their websites. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project with a real-world impact and contribute to the growth of a dynamic startup.

AS A NODE.JS DEVELOPER, YOU’LL HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js and Typescript
• Integrate with various third-party APIs, including AWS, DigitalOcean, Stripe, and ChatGPT
• Write and optimize lambda functions for Firebase
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
• Troubleshoot and debug issues
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies
• Collaborate with multi-functional team and other stakeholders
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least 4 years commercial experience with JavaScript, TypeScript
• 3+ years of experience with Node.js and related frameworks (e.g., Nest.js
• Familiarity with front-end technologies, particularly Angular
• Profound knowledge of back-end technologies and development approaches
• Experience with Google Firebase, including functions and deployment
• Experience with REST APls, Web Services, micro-service architecture
• Experience with containerization, AWS or other public clouds
• Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and writing skills in English (B2+)
• Ability to work and communicate with client team directly

• Experience with AWS, DigitalOcean, Stripe, and ChatGPT
• Contributions to open-source projects
