We are looking for a highly qualified, motivated and well-organized Python Developer to join our professional team and develop modern products for our client – a Swiss not-for-profit foundation that uses Artificial Intelligence to combine expertise in technology and food markets to deliver an effective solution for farmers and food distributors.
As a Web Developer, you will work on maintaining and further developing the back-end part of the AI-based solution, adding new product features, deploying product updates, identifying production issues, resolving security concerns and implementing integrations that meet our business’ needs.
- Working closely with the client to elicit feature requirements
- Design and develop scalable back-end solutions and help shape the architecture, design, frameworks and tools
- Participate in agile planning, estimation and development to enable fast iteration and feedback loop
- Implementing new features, working with module integrations
- Code development, code optimisation, and testing key functionality
- Maintaining high-quality code and CI/CD on GitLab
- Deploying new versions to staging and production environments on Azure
- Meeting both technical and consumer needs
Tech stack project – Python (Django), Docker, Ionic (React), Angular, PostgreSQL, Azure, GitLab CI/CD, Jira, Confluence, GitLab
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Overall 6+ years as a back-end developer on commercial projects
- At least 5 years commercial experience with Python and related technologies, e.g. Django
- Good experience with RESTful APIs, SQL, RDBMS, e.g., PostgreSQL
- Experience with Docker, Azure and GitLab CI/CD
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience working in Jira, Confluence, GitLab
- Ability to work alone and within a team, deliver under pressure to meet deadlines
- Upper-intermediate English level and effective verbal communication
- Experience with AI/ML libraries on Python
- Experience with developing web services for mobile apps
- Experience with Celery, and test libraries, e.g., PyTest
